Listened to the first half of Mbongwana Star‘s From Kinshasa today.
Really liking what I’ve heard so far. I’m hearing a humid quality to the guitars on some of the tracks of this affair which draws me in to stuff like Sun Araw, so I’ll definitely be back to finish off this album from these friends from the Democratic Republic of Congo. Shégué is standing out as a favourite so far.
